For power output as similar as possible to on road for same effort, the Neo is the most consistent trainer out there from the CPT Cycling coached rider data collected over recent years. This means that, within our experience, more than any other trainer, that it is not at all nessesary to have a seperate set of power zones/ FTP for the indoor trainer, compared to the road. This is down to the 125kg of mass inertia in the virtual flywheel resistance that is above the weight of most road riders. The higher the weight of the trainer mass inertia, the more closely matched the rider's watts are to the same relative effort out on the road.
