Pre built training plans

If you are not in a position to work with a coach, but still want to train with purpose on an ongoing basis; then a pre built training plan could be the solution for you to reach your goals. These plans are to work with a TrainingPeaks account, which is quick and easy to set up if you don't have one.

Knowledge base


Incorporated into each pre built training plan is the knowledge of what has generally worked through coaching individual riders since 2010. The types of goals and events covered by the choice of training plans listed and choice of training volume levels are what we have the most experience with in successfully guiding riders to similar goals by testing until the point of success in the real world through working with hundreds of coached riders, tracking their data and listening to their feedback. This is reflected in the effectiveness of each of these plans.

 

Choosing a Training Plan

The first step is to chose a set of plans that you believe best fits the goal you want to work towards, on this page. This will take you to further options. Look out for choices in the training plan titles of:

  • Base Training 13 week plans
  • Peak Training 12 week plans
  • Base and Peak 24 week plans

Each plan is priced on length. Look out for your options of training volume level:

  • Masters: around 6 hours average training per week
  • Intermediate: around 8 hours average training per week
  • Advanced: around 10 hours average training per week

  • Coach tips and guidance in every bike workout
  • Automatically exportable workout steps for your indoor cycling app and head unit
  • Entire plan or individual weeks are reusable to future dates in your TrainingPeaks calendar
  • Plan end date can be changed to fit around the timing of when you want to peak your form
  • WKO5 guide and charts included to set up Power Duration Curve based power targets
  • Email access to Coach if you need help initially setting your plan up
  • Each plan works with a basic TrainingPeaks account. You don't need TrainingPeaks Premium to get started

WKO or Classic Power Zones?

Lastly; chose a "Classic Power" plan for the most simple option and if you have a copy of WKO5 and you are willing to adjust some targets inside of workouts, then select a "WKO5 iLevels" version of the plan you are interested in. You can then browse some sample details of workouts and weekly training volume structure to help in considering if you want to purchase the plan you selected to browse.
